Peter Hudecki is a Canadian animator born in 1954 who has been in the industry since 1976. Hudecki was originally an animator at Nelvana starting from "A Cosmic Christmas" in 1977 through "Rock & Rule" in 1983. He was storyboard supervisor for the first season of "Inspector Gadget". In 1990, he directed the Roseanne Barr animated series "Little Rosie", produced by Nelvana for the American Broadcasting Company.

He was producer for "Babar", and co-director with Stéphane Bernasconi for the series "The Adventures of Tintin". While at BearSpots, a special division of Nelvana, he developed the digital animation style that was used for the series "Stickin' Around" as well as initiating the first use of Alias 3D software in the creation of the Nelvana Logo, featured during the final credits of Nelvana broadcast series for 10 years. Also during that time, he was a storyboard artist for the live action films "Cocktail", "The Freshman", "Searching for Bobby Fischer", "A Simple Wish" and "Bless the Child". He created a simulated video game sequence featuring Dabney Coleman for John Boorman's feature "Where the Heart Is" well before desktop computers were standard tools in the animation and effects industry.

In television, he was also a storyboard artist for Nickelodeon's "Animorphs" and Nick Jr.'s "The Backyardigans". He also had the same job for Showtime's original movies "Deacons for Defense", "Soldier's Girl" and "Jasper, Texas".

Since 2000, Hudecki has been specialising in 3D facial and lip sync animation. He provided the majority of lip sync animation for Gemini and Emmy award winning series "Rolie Polie Olie", as well as "Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends", and the Care Bears 3D. Most notable was lip sync and facial animation for the Bud Light commercial Smooth Monkey during the 2004 Super Bowl. It was in the top 10 of the Super Bowl advertising poll.

Frequent guest lecturer at various colleges since 1988, Hudecki is a Senior Faculty member for the Animation course at Durham College.
