footnotes = Iganga is the chief town of Iganga District in Uganda, and is located in the country's Busoga region.

Iganga town has several internet cafes, several guest houses, and a bustling market in the center of town beside the taxi park. Town landmarks include the hospital, on the eastern side of town, the DevelopNet Iganga project, which houses an internet cafe and a community center for the Iganga District NGO/CBO Forum, and the Mwaana Hotel.

Iganga is located roughly 35 km east of the town of Jinja, Uganda's second largest city.

Transport

Busoga University, located 1 mile west of Iganga town on the Jinja-Iganga/Mbale Tororo highway, commenced operations on February 12, 1999.

Iganga is served by a station on the Uganda Railway.
