Sanghar

Sanghar ( _ur. سانگھڑ) is the district head quarter of Sanghar District, situated in the province of Sindh in Pakistan. It is one of the agriculture town situated approximately 265 KM from Karachi city. Unfortunately, there is no railway station and airport in the city but have road links with Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpur Khas and other major cities of Sindh.

History

"'Garang Bunglow Is one of the most famous sites of Sanghar District, situated at the Sanghar to Mirpurkhas Road,Four km from Sanghar City,In Talka Sinjhoro"' It was the site where in Indo-Pak history, "Peer Syed Sabgatullah Shah Shaheed" raised flag of Independence against the British occupation and started a war against them. In this war, tousnads of english army man died and Peer Syed Sabgatullah himself was martyred by British army. But with his sacrifices, Sindh secured independence from the British rule. However his name is still dark in history because of English propaganda.
Sohni Mahiwal is one of the four popular tragic romances of the Sindh. The Tomb of Sohni is situated in Shahdadpur city which is 75 km from Hyderabad. According to the legend, the bodies of Sohni Mahiwal were recovered from river Indus near Shahdadpur city and hence are buried there.
