According to the
United States Census Bureau , the village has a total area of 3.7square mile s (9.5km² ), of which, 3.6 square miles (9.3 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (1.37%) is water.Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 3,564 people, 1,350 households, and 984 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 986.6 people per square mile (381.2/km²). There were 1,396 housing units at an average density of 386.4/sq mi (149.3/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.77% White, 0.17% Black or African American, 0.28% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 1.35% from other races, and 0.90% from two or more races. 2.95% of the population wereHispanic orLatino of any race.There were 1,350 households out of which 37.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% were married couples living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% were non-families. 22.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.07.
In the village the population was spread out with 27.9% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 19.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 94.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $48,397, and the median income for a family was $54,422. Males had a median income of $38,975 versus $25,179 for females. The
