- Winkies Castle
Winkies Castle is the oldest house in
Marske-by-the-Sea Fact|date=January 2008,North Yorkshire ,England dating back to the 17th century. It was saved from being demolished by a formercobbler , Jack Anderson, in 1968 who turned it into a community museum and bequeathed it toRedcar and Cleveland Borough Council.The house's name comes from a
cat , named Winkie, who once lived there. The museum has over 6,000 articles; including a two-headed lamb who is called "Bill and Ben".The house has rotating exhibitions.
