- Rollin 60 Neighborhood Crips
The Rollin 60 Neighborhood Crips is a street gang based in
Los Angeles, California . In 1976, the Rollin' 60's formed as a faction of the original Crip gang, the Westside Crips, and have since grown. They are also engaged in the most violent gang rivalry between two gangs in the history of Los Angeles gang conflict [ [http://www.streetgangs.com/crips/rollin60s.html Rolling 60s Crips in Los Angeles] ,StreetGangs.com ] , as the body count with the Rollin' 60s Crips is the in several hundreds. They are considered the most violent and notorious Black gang in all of LA County. Their main rival is theEight Tray Gangster Crips to the East, however they also fight with all Hoover Criminal sets. In fact, this may be a reason that the Hoover Criminals (formerly Hoover Crips), stopped claiming Crip. The Rollin' 60's Neighborhood Crips, although commonly beefing with other Crip sets, also rival the Van Ness Gangsters, a Blood set directly North of their turf. School zoning forces members of these two sets to attend school together, and incidents can sometimes occur at
Crenshaw High School . Still, the Rollin 60's dominate the schools population, despite it being North of their actual turf, because the Van Ness Gangsters are a much smaller gang. The Rollin' 60's Neighborhood Crips control a territory around Slauson to the North, and are bounded by Florence to the South. They are also bounded by theEight Tray Gangster Crips on Western Avenue, to the East.According to the "
Los Angeles Daily News ", Rollin 60 Neighborhood Crips is "the largest black criminal street gang in the City of Los Angeles with over 1,600 active members.- the size of an army brigade" [ [http://lang.dailynews.com/socal/gangs/articles/dnp5_culture.asp Rollin 60s give unique window into gang culture] , Beth Barrett, staff writer,Los Angeles Daily News , September 30, 2004]Alexander family shooting
