Elthorne

Elthorne was a hundred (ancient subdivision) of the ancient county of Middlesex, England. It covers the western part of the county. According to [http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.asp?compid=22159] , it contained the following parishes and settlements :

Political representation

The Elthorne electoral ward for local council elections elects councillors to Ealing Council. Representing Elthorne ward, are two Conservative councillors and one Labour councillor. Ealing Council is currently run by a Conservative administration.

Political status of Ealing Council:
* Conservatives: 43 seats
* Labour: 23 seats
* Liberal Democrats: 3 seats

Elthorne is within the Ealing Southall parliamentary constituency, represented since 2007 by Labour Member of Parliament Virendra Sharma.

Elthorne is in the Greater London Authority (GLA) constituency of "Ealing & Hillingdon" which has one GLA member: Richard Barnes (Conservative), who was re-elected in May 2008.
