Appleford-on-Thames is a village and civil parish in the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire, England. It is between Abingdon and Didcot, on the south bank of the River Thames. Until 1974, it was in the county of Berkshire. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 359.

Transport

Appleford-on-Thames is served by a mainline railway station. Appleford railway station is served by local First Great Western trains from London Paddington to Oxford & Banbury. Trains are infrequent, calling at the small station approximately every 2 hours.

Appleford is unusual in that for a village of its size and location it has almost no bus service. There is one bus each direction on a Monday morning between Clifton Hampden Post Office and the Abingdon War Memorial, and one bus each direction on a Friday morning between Drayton St Leonard & Abingdon.
