The A316, also known in parts as the Great Chertsey Road, is a major
road inEngland , which extends theM3 motorway north-east towards CentralLondon .Outward from London it starts at
Chiswick and crosses successively:
the A4 at theHogarth Roundabout (the connection for central London),
theThames onChiswick Bridge ,
the South Circular Road (A205) atChalker's Corner ,
and, after passing to the north of Richmond (bisectingOld Deer Park ), the Thames again onTwickenham Bridge .
Then, after running near:
Twickenham Rugby Stadium.
theKempton Park Steam Engines at the prominent waterworks,
andKempton Park Racecourse ,
it joins the motorway end-on at Sunbury Cross (Junction 1 of the M3) inSunbury-on-Thames .External links
