Note on pronunciation:
*The "y" in Sandys is not pronounced
*The second "w" in Warwick is not pronouncedMunicipalities
Bermuda has two municipalities
*Hamilton (City) (1,100)
*St. George's (Town) (1,648)It should be noted that whereas the town of St George's is surrounded by St George's Parish, Hamilton Parish and the city of Hamilton are not close to each other geographically.
Villages
Bermuda has two villages (unincorporated urban areas)
*Flatts Village
*Somerset VillageAnother old, unincorporated settlement was cleared to make way for the Mid Ocean Golf Club and an enclave in which wealthy visitors could purchase homes, although the area is still referred to as Tucker's Town.
