Perrydale, Oregon

Perrydale is an unincorporated community of about 60 people Fact|date=February 2007 in Polk County, Oregon, United States, approximately 10 miles from Dallas, Oregon. It is part of the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town has a K-12 school, [http://www.perrydale.k12.or.us/ Perrydale School District] , as well as a small fabrication plant. The economy is based on farming and logging, with some residents working in these industries while others commute to jobs in neighboring communities. Fact|date=February 2007

According to "Oregon Geographic Names", Perrydale was named by William Perry, a pioneer, and a post office existed there from 1870-1971. The town was also the site of an Oregonian Railway Company station established in 1881.
