Paul Stein is an
accordion ist,composer , songwriter, and vocalist. Stein appeared as a guest member of theKirov Orchestra atAvery Fisher Hall at the firstLincoln Center Festival. He has been a featured entertainer and interviewee onWNBC TV's "Live at Five" and other television and radio outlets. Stein is a regular in the annual concert/seminar series produced by his teacherWilliam Schimmel for theAmerican Accordionists' Association inManhattan .Stein's compositions include traditional
klezmer pieces, as well as a range from tango tobig band music. His songs range from country to labor songs to romanticshow tune s. His one act musical was presented in concert format in Manhattan.Stein performs standards in English and Yiddish. He has entertained at the
Lower East Side Tenement Museum , theMuseum of the City of New York , and numerous other venues. A union activist, Paul was featured on a float in the New York City Labor Day Parade and performs on picket lines and at other union functions. He has accompanied the anti-war contingent in theMontclair, New Jersey July 4th Parade. Over 35 years ago, he played on the steps of the main synagogue inMoscow .External links
