WEW is the oldest radio station located west of the Mississippi, and second oldest in the United States (behind only Pittsburgh's KDKA Radio). Located in St. Louis, Missouri, it broadcasts on 770 kHz and is under ownership of Birach Broadcasting.

WEW features a brokered ethnic format, except for a midday show which features Easy Listening Standards & Big Band music. WEW's daily broadcast schedule consists largely of Foreign Language programming, mostly targeting area Mexicans and Bosnians, and weekend programming featuring Italian and German language.

History

The station was officially licensed in March 1922 and was put on the air by St. Louis University for over 40 years. Since then, ownership has changed and was moved to several places such as "The Hill", Busch Stadium, Soulard, and Clayton.
