Cliff Swallow ofNorth America , occurs inMexico and theGreater Antilles , with fall and winter vagrants reaching the East andGulf Coast s of the U.S..The Cave Swallow measures from 12 to 14 cm in length and weighs 19 g on average. It has grey-blue upperparts and brown-tangerine forefront and throat.
There are two races in the southern U.S.; one "fulva" in
Florida , and one "pelodoma" in the states ofsouthwestern United States , and NortheastMexico . The Cuban race "cavicola" is very similar to "fulva".References
