Where two dates are listed, then the first indicates the date of the attaining of the award or title, and the second indicates the date of its loss. From 1952 to her death in 2002 Elizabeth Bowes Lyon was known as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Other Commonwealth realms

In the Commonwealth realms, outside of the United Kingdom, where The Queen Mother was a member of the national Royal Family, no official title was accorded to her through law. Instead she was addressed using her UK title as a courtesy title.

Upon her death, it was reported that the Gorsedd of Bards had paid tribute to her using her bardic name "Betsy o Ebor" (Elizabeth of York).

*The Queen Elizabeth Way is one of the major highways of Ontario, Canada; it was named during the royal visit of 1939 and later rebuilt as a freeway. It connects Toronto, Hamilton, St. Catharines, and Niagara Falls, and leads to the U.S. border at Buffalo, New York.
