Kenneth Leech (born 1939) is an
Anglican priest and Christian socialist in the Anglo-Catholic tradition.He graduated with a BA degree in 1961 from the
University of London and then went toTrinity College, Oxford . After theological studies atSt Stephen's House, Oxford he was ordained to the priesthood in 1965. He served in urbanLondon parishes afflicted bypoverty and confronted issues ofracism anddrug abuse . He co-founded the Jubilee Group in 1974 and is an advocate ofcontextual theology . He founded the charity Centrepoint which became the United Kingdom's leading national charity tackling youthhomelessness .He was Director of the
Runnymede Trust think-tank from 1987 to 1990.Writings
