Mahakavi Kalidasa

Mahakavi Kalidasa (Kannada: ಮಹಾಕವಿ ಕಾಳಿದಾಸ) is a Kannada movie made in mid-1950s by the then famous singer of Karnataka Honnappa Bhagavatar of Bangalore. Honnappa Bagavatar introduced B. Sarojadevi to the world of film. B. Sarojadevi later became a very well known actress in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The movie, Mahakavi Kalidasa contained some very ear catching songs like chaluvayya chaluvo, etc. Bhagavatar acted in this Kannada movie in the main role of the poet Kalidasa.
