triple star in theconstellation Aquila. It is approximately 570light years fromEarth .The primary component, π Aquilae A, is a yellow-white F-type giant with an
apparent magnitude of +5.7. Its companion, π Aquilae B, is a white A-type main sequence dwarf with an apparent magnitude of +6.2. The combined apparent magnitude of the binary is +5.72. The two stars are separated by 1.4arcsecond s on the sky, and have an orbital period in excess of 3000 years. The third, faint component (mag. 12.1), C, listed in the Components table at bottom of this article, may be optical.Reference
