high school (grades 9-12) in Brookfield, Fairfield County,Connecticut . In the 2006-2007 school year the school had some 1009 students; a very steep increase due to one of the largest freshman classes ever which is comprised of over 300 people. Ethnically the students were 97% Caucasian, .12% Black, 0.3% Asian, 2.6% Hispanic.The school is located at 45 Longmeadow Hill Road. As of late spring 2007, the school is under construction. A new library, video production studio and a whole new wing of classrooms were recently added and the school continues to add on, renovations in the locker rooms and more classroom space is being added.
The school mascot is the Bobcat and the school colors are blue and gold.
Alumni include
Julia DeMato (class of 1997), a professionalcosmetologist andsinger who made it to tenth place on the second season on the television show "American Idol ";Will Denton (Class of 2008), an American actor who starred on the short-lived NBC series Kidnapped; actress and singerKari Wührer (class of 1985); and University of Connecticut football star Scott Lutrus (class of 2006). Lutrus was named to the NCAA Freshman All-American team at the conclusion of the 2007 season.The school's current principal is also an alumnus, having graduated in 1989.
