Adam Scott Collegiate and Vocational Institute, established in 1967, is a high school located at 175 Langton Street, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, and was named in recognition of Adam Scott, Peterborough's first settler. As of 2006, 198 students are enrolled in its Intermediate School (grades seven and eight) and 986 students in the secondary school (grades nine to twelve.) The school has both English and French Immersion streams.
Mission Statement: There will be at Adam Scott C.V.I./I.S. an emphasis on student achievement with clearly stated expectations and equitable assessment guidelines. This mandate will be met within a purposeful learning atmosphere that is free from the threat of physical or emotional harm, delivered within a climate that is supportive of curriculum and instruction, and that addresses the learning needs of both staff and students.
