Dream Island is an island lying 1 mile (1.6 km) southeast of Cape Monaco, off the southwest coast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Dream Island is located at 64°44′S 64°14′W / 64.733°S 64.233°W / -64.733; -64.233. Dream Island was surveyed by the British Naval Hydrographic Survey Unit in 1956-1957. Dream Island was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) because among the island's natural features are a cave and, in summer, a small waterfall, with mossy patches and grass.
