Brian Sussman

Brian Sussman is a conservative commentator on the San Francisco radio station KSFO.

Biography

Television career

Sussman is also known in the San Francisco area as the former weatherman at CBS station KPIX during the evening newscast. During his tenure at KPIX, he also anchored the weekly segment "Brian's Kids" for the noon newscast, which highlighted a local child in need of adoption. Sussman himself is an adoptive father of several children. He left the station in 2000, shortly after the retirement of longtime anchor and local personality Dave McElhatton to start his talk radio career on the KSFO program "Right Thinking from the Left Coast". He returned to KPIX temporarily in 2001 as the 11 p.m. weatherman, but left after a contract dispute.

Radio career

He hosts his own conservative talk radio show weekdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on KSFO. On July 31, 2008, Keith Olbermann on his MSNBC program "Countdown with Keith Olbermann", named Sussman the second "worst person in the world". Sussman has made statements that are alleged to be racist and homophobic, such as "gay and lesbian radicals actively recruit through our schools and the media". Sussman sometimes twists the truth as he did on Tuesday September 23, 2008 making dishonest claims about Senator Obama's connections with Fannie Mae.
