"The Blue Veil" (1951) is a film drama made by Wald/Krasna Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It tells the story of a child torn between the competing claims of his birth mother and his adoptive mother. The film is currently in litigation and is not available for television or video.

It stars Jane Wyman, Charles Laughton, Joan Blondell, Richard Carlson, Agnes Moorehead, Audrey Totter, Cyril Cusack, Natalie Wood, Vivian Vance, Dan O'Herlihy, and Harry Morgan.

"The Blue Veil" was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Wyman) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Joan Blondell). It was directed by Curtis Bernhardt and produced by Jerry Wald and Norman Krasna with Raymond Hakim as associate producer. The screenplay was by Norman Corwin from the story by François Campaux. It is a remake of the French language movie from 1942 "Le Voile bleu".

Reportedly, in the last few years of her life, Jane Wyman admitted to friends that of the 83 films she had made, "The Blue Veil" was her favorite.
