- Newbridge, Wolverhampton

Newbridge is a suburb of the city of Wolverhampton, West Midlands in England. It is situated north-west of the city centre, on the A41 Tettenhall Road.
The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal and the River Smestow run through the suburb in a SW-NE direction.[1] The settlement is named after the new bridge built to take the main London-Holyhead road over the canal and river in 1772. On Yates's map of 1775, the name is given as two words, New Bridge, and the contracted form established itself in Victorian times[1]. The new bridge had to be replaced by a more modern structure, built by Wolverhampton's County Borough council in the 1930's.
It is home to Wolverhampton Girls High School, Spurgeon's Child Care and the new Wolverhampton Wanderers FC training ground. It is also the location of the headquarters of Beacon Radio.
