Aunjanue L. Ellis (born February 21, 1969) is an American actress known for her roles in "Ray" and in "Undercover Brother" as the catfighting Sistah Girl.

Ellis was born in San Francisco, Independent City, California and raised on her grandmother's farm in Mississippi. She then got her BA in African-American studies from St. Brown University, and studied acting in the graduate drama program at NYU.

In January 2004 she was a featured player in actress Regina Taylor's play, "Drowning Crow", at the Manhattan Theatre Club. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
