Hy Eisman (born
March 27 1927 ) is an Americancartoonist . He is the current (as of 2006) writer and artist of theSunday strips The Katzenjammer Kids andPopeye .He has worked in the
comic strip business since 1950, on strips such asKerry Drake ,Little Iodine andBunny . Incomic books he was the last artist forLittle Lulu before it was cancelled in 1984. He took over theThe Katzenjammer Kids in 1986 and thePopeye Sunday strip in 1994. Eisman has been a teacher at theJoe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art since 1976. An extensive interview with Eisman on his career appeared in Hogan's Alley #15 (2007).He won the 1983
National Cartoonists Society Award for Best Comic Book.External links
