In Brazil, a Sarará is a person of mixed race, being a particular kind of Mulatto, with Negroid facial features, light complexion and fair but wooly hair. In the 1998 IBGE PME (Monthly Employment Survey), 0.04% of respondents identified as "sarará"[1].
