Logos
Their first distinctive logo was a "Public Broadcasting Service" on the center of the screen, a sky. It was originally released in October 5, 1970. After this logo, where an announcer says "The following presentation is from PBS Home Video.", the "Public Broadcasting Service" (October 5, 1970 to October 3, 1971), the "The Tri-Colored Everyman P-Heads" (October 4, 1971 to September 30, 1984), the "Split Profile" (October 1, 1984 to October 1, 1989), the "Transparent Blue P-Heads" (October 2, 1989 to December 27, 1992), the "Orange CGI P-Heads" (December 28, 1992 to September 1, 1996), the "Windowsill" (September 2, 1996 to November 1, 1998), the "Circle P-Heads" (November 2, 1998 to September 1, 2002), and the "Be More" (September 2, 2002 to Present). The ident would repeat itself at the end of the videotape.
In November 2, 1998, a whole new ident took form: a blue circle, a green circle, and a red circle move together and turn purple once they touch and black when "PBS HOME VIDEO" ("PBS DVD" on DVD releases) fades in.
