P. V. Gangadharan

A film producer and businessman.

Born at Calicut in 1943 to P. V. Madhavi Sami and P.V. Sami (Founder of KTC Group of Companies), P. V. Gangadharan is one of the most prolific producers in South Indian cinema.[1]
He did his schooling at Azchavattam Government High School though he didn't pass the finals. He has produced 22 malayalam films under the banner ‘Grihalakshmi Productions'. Many of these films have won several national and international recognitions.

Awards and honours

The film “Shantham” won the National Award for the best film of the year 2000. 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha' won 4 national awards in 1989 which includes the best actor award for Mammootty. The films Ennu Swantham Jaanakikutty, Kochu kochu Santhoshangal and Kaanakinavu have won several national awards in various categories.
