Born at Calicut in 1943 as the son of Late P. V. Madhavi Sami and P.V. Sami (Founder of KTC Group of Companies and a veteran freedom fighter), Sri. P.V.Gangadharan is one of the most prolific producers in South Indian cinema. [cite web

He has produced 22 malayalam films under the banner ‘Grihalakshmi Productions'. Many of these films have won several national and international recognitions.
