Garodia International Centre for Learning also known as Garodia International School, is an educational institution based in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, India. GICL owns various educational subsidiary including P. G. Garodia School, P. G. Garodia Conservatiore - The Music School, One World International School - Singapore and Garodia School of Professional Studies. The School has been awarded International Centre status by the University of Cambridge International Examinations and is affiliated to the International Baccalaureate Organization.

History

Tn the year 1969, Parmeshwari Devi Gordhandas Garodia started a school in a garage in Ghatkopar, Mumbai comprising just 7 students and one teacher.^[2] With 2200 students today, the same school stands tall in Garodia Nagar, in the name of P. G. Garodia School (ICSE).^[3] Various pioneering initiatives spearheaded by the Garodia International Centre for Learning are as follows:-

P. G. Garodia School

P. G. Garodia English High School or Garodia International School was established way back in 1969 by Late Smt. Parmeshwaridevi. The school started off with seven students in a make shift room. Today a very successful institution with more than 2000 pupils with classes right from playschool to standard X. School vision is to create a Global society with intellectually, viable and capable young creative minds, in healthy bodies with ethical spirits, to contribute wisdom, compassion and leadership. An academic foundation that encompasses cultural, social, aesthetic, historical and physical understanding that prepares students to become innovative, principled and insightful leaders to make the world a better place to live in.

P. G. Garodia Conservatiore - The Music School

Experts in music guide the students through the vocal and instrumental musical experience in collaboration with the P G Garodia Conservatoire. Students are trained in Indian classical music as well as western music by teachers who are adept at it. The students are given ample opportunities to display their talent through the school band, the choir and the annual concert.

One World International School - Singapore

One World International School, Singapore, is among various pioneering initiatives spearheaded by the Garodia Group. One World International School aims to develop inquiring and independent lifelong learners whilst fostering accepting, empathetic, internationally-minded individuals, within the school and the wider community.

Garodia School of Professional Studies

Garodia School of Professional Studies (GSPS) was established in 1992 as a specialized academic institution for the Smt P.G. Garodia Charitable Trust, to impart professional education/ training in various fields. The Institute has received government recognition in the year 2004 and now also conducts the Three Year Part Time Government Diploma in Interior Designing and Decoration, affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.

Affiliation

University of Cambridge International Examinations awarded GICL International Centre status. The school is affiliated to the International Baccalaureate Organization. GICL is also authorized to teach and examine a range of internationally accepted qualifications including IGCSE, AS & A Levels, IBDP.^[4]

Faculty

The staff at GICL are highly qualified professionals. Specialist teachers are also employed to teach Music, Art, Speech & Drama, Physical Education, and Languages. Teachers use modern and innovative methods to bring out the best in every student and to provide a unique educational environment, enriched by active contact and cooperation.^[5]
