Olympic medal record Men's Water Polo Competitor for Soviet Union Silver 1960 Rome Team competition Bronze 1956 Melbourne Team competition P'et're Mshveniyeradze (Georgian: პეტრე მშვენიერაძე, Russian: Пётр Яковлевич Мшвениерадзе (Pyotr Yakovlevich Mshvenieradze), March 24, 1929 – June 3, 2003) was a Russian water polo player of Georgian descent who competed for the Soviet Union in the 1952 Summer Olympics, in the 1956 Summer Olympics, and in the 1960 Summer Olympics.
He was born in Tbilisi and died in Moscow. He was the father of Georgy Mshveniyeradze.
In 1952 he was a member of the Soviet team which finished seventh in the Olympic water polo tournament. He played all nine matches and scored ast least one goal (not all scorers are known).
Four years later he won the bronze medal with the Soviet team in the water polo competition at the 1956 Games. He played all seven matches.
At the 1960 Games he was part of the Soviet team which won the bronze medal in the Olympic water polo tournament. He played all seven matches and scored five goals.
