Marie Slip (composition and arrangement)Otto Dix is a Russian darkwave[1][2] music trio. Named after the expressionist painter of the same name, they are notable for their androgynous singer, believed to be either a countertenor male or a contralto female.
The band was founded by singer Michael Draw (born Mikhail Sergeyev)[3] and composer Marie Slip (Sergey Slobodchikov)[2] in Khabarovsk. After the release of their second studio album the two moved to St. Petersburg and met classically trained violinist Petr Voronov who joined to band. After 6 years of existence Otto Dix has become one of the most famous Russian gothic acts.[3] For the German market Otto Dix are currently signed to Danse Macabre Records, a record label owned by German act Das Ich.[4] The latest album release of Otto Dix in 2011 is Chudnye Dni (Wonderful Days).
