Osaka Eco Agricultural Products is an agricultural production created within Osaka Prefecture Japan, with a reducing rate of pesticide and fertilizer chemicals defined by government office (the rate of chemicals is defined as half to average usage in Osaka area[1]). Farmer must to register to Osaka prefectural government office and get a permission to use this title in the market. Government specialist of four agricultural direction office in Osaka, do a technical administration and inspection to each farmer and guarantee this system. Main Agricultural Products applied to this title are rice, soybean, vegetable, fruit and flower.
Only product which is got permission from government, can use a special trademark logo.
The difference from Organic food is, this produt is allowed a reduced usage of pesticide and fertilizer chemicals.
Eco Vegetable
Vegetable of this product is particularly called as Eco Vegetables. In April 2009, salad made with Eco Vegetable is sold at some restaurants, it is called Eco Salad [2].
