Alexander Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles

Alexander Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles

Alexander Edgar Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles (born 13 May 1980 in Bath, Somerset), is the third child and second son of David Lascelles, 8th Earl of Harewood[1] and his first wife Margaret, Viscountess Lascelles.

His elder siblings, Emily Lascelles (born 1975) and Benjamin Lascelles (born 1978), were legitimated by subsequent marriage and they share the same mother. Although legitimation is recognized in the United Kingdom, peerage regulations exclude them from having a claim to the British throne or the Harewood titles. He also has one younger brother, Edward Lascelles (born 1982). Alexander has a son, Leo Cyrus Anthony Lascelles, born in 2008 with live in girlfriend, Laleh Yeganegy. Leo does not have a claim to the British throne or the Earldom of Harewood due to being born out of wedlock.

Because his older brother does not meet peerage regulations, Lord Lascelles is the heir apparent to the earldom i.e. he will presumably succeed to the earldom after the death of his father.
