OpenSplice DDS (or OpenSplice) Community Edition is an open source implementation of the Object Management Group's (OMG) Data Distribution Service for Real-time Systems (DDS) specification.

OpenSplice DDS provides a high performance real-time publish subscribe messaging middleware infrastructure. OpenSplice DDS Community Edition provides full support for content-based subscriptions, data persistence, and transparent fault-management.

OpenSplice DDS Community Edition provides a fully compliant implementation of the Data-Centric Publish-Subscribe (DCPS) Layer specified in the OMG DDS specification v1.2 along with an implementation of the interoperability wire-protocol specified in the OMG DDSI specification v2.1.

The OpenSplice DDS Community Edition is open source software licensed under GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).
