- Once is Enough
-
"Once Is Enough" is an Aerosmith song that was originally recorded as part of the Permanent Vacation sessions. The song was not included on the album, but was released as a B-side on the 12" EP single for "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)". It was written by Richard Supa, who has written other Aerosmith songs, including "Chip Away the Stone."
"Once Is Enough" is a country-rock song, in the tradition of "Hickory Wind" from The Byrds or "Far Away Eyes" from The Rolling Stones
Willie Nelson and Steven Tyler recorded a version of the song for inclusion in Willie Nelson's greatest hits collection "Essential Willie Nelson", released in 2003. A video of Willie and Steven Tyler is included in the concert album Willie Nelson and Friends - Live & Kickin' (2005). This track was included on Aerosmith EP Vacation Club which was only released in Japan.
