Richard "Richie" Supa is an American songwriter best known for his work with
Aerosmith andRichie Sambora . He was born Richard Goodman in Massapequa, New York and grew up in the same neighborhood as Jerry Seinfeld. He played guitar in the band "Denny Belline and the Rich Kids" (DB is Perry Como's nephew) and later in a band called "Mann".A longtime friend of
Aerosmith , he has made a number of musical contributions to the band and has offered moral support. He temporarily replaced Joe Perry when he left the band in 1979 until the band was able to find a replacement. Additionally, he helped co-write several songs, including the hits "Chip Away the Stone " (1978), "Lightning Strikes" (1982), "Amazing" (1993), and "Pink" (1997), among others.In 1997, he co-wrote most of the songs on
Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora's second solo album "Undiscovered Soul ".He wrote the song "Misery" for the album "
M!ssundaztood " by Pink, on which Aerosmith's singerSteve Tyler and Richie Sambora collaborated.
