He is a former Palace Fighting Championship Welterweight Champion,[2] a World Extreme Cagefighting veteran and has competed for PRIDE Fighting Championship.
Alfonso is widely known for getting brutally knocked out in his fights, some of his most commonly known is the knockout punch he received from Rob McCullough, breaking his jaw and putting him on a stretcher,[3] and with Hayato "Mach" Sakurai who stopped Alfonso with a devastating overhand right punch.
Alfonso officially retired in 2010 due to injuries and to focus on his gym and working for MMA Mexico events as Color commentator.
