Okab won a seat in the Lebanese parliament on June 7, 2009, and one of few Muslim Shiites that supports the 14 March movement.

Childhood
Okab was born in Chyah - Beirut, Lebanon.
Education
From The DEA Beirut he holds a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy, then received a Masters degree in Social Psychology and a higher education degree also from (DEA) in Political Sociology.[1]
Career
- He worked as a teacher for two years at USJ’s Islamic and Christian Studies Institute, contributed to the establishment and management of the Permanent Dialogue Center,
- Worked as assistant managing editor for Al-Balad newspaper.
- Manager of the New Opinion Center
- General Coordinator of the Arab Forum for Dialogue and Citizenship
- Participated in many television political shows, including an interview versus a member from Hizb ut-Tahrir on the issue of the American occupation in Iraq with the Iranian TV station AL-Alam.
Political affiliation
14 March Movement. Okab joined the "Lebanon First" parliamentary bloc.[1]
Personal life
Sakr's family are from Bekaa Valley (Zahle) Lebanon, he is a Lebanese Muslim Shiite.
