Hewitson, 1862[1]The Silky azure (Ogyris oroetes) is a member of the Lycaenidae family. The species occurs over much of mainland Australia.
They are metallic blue with a wingspan of 36-38mm. The larvae feed on various species of Amyema and are attended by various species of ants. Mature larvae are often flat with few markings.[2]
