Heteroclinus heptaeolus, known commonly as the Ogilby's weedfish or the Seven-bar weedfish in Australia,[2] is a species of clinid in the genus Heteroclinus.[3] It is a temperate blenny found around southern Australia, in the western Pacific and Indian Ocean.[3] It was named by J.D. Ogilby in 1885, originally under the name Petraites heptaeolus,[4] and can reach a maximum length of 10 centimetres.[3]
