Nuclear Mango Industry Film production Website nuclearmangostudios.com Nuclear Mango is a film production company based in Los Angeles and Mumbai (as Split Image Pictures). Nuclear Mango’s core business is the strategic packaging of creative, technical and financing partners for East-West collaborative film projects. The company’s physical production arm, Nuclear Mango Studios, finances and produces low to mid-sized budgeted projects that cater to both American and Bollywood global audiences.
Nuclear Mango was founded in 2008 by veteran Bollywood filmmaker Govind Menon and American independent film veteran William Sees Keenan.[1] The company is currently overseeing post-production in Los Angeles on Jennifer Lynch’s creature-feature Hisss starring Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat and Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire).[2] Hisss marks the first Bollywood movie to be directed by an American woman and the first creature-feature in Indian film history. The film is represented by William Morris Endeavor Global.
Nuclear Mango is also in post-production on the company’s original feature Politics of Love (International title: Love, Barack). Set a month before the 2008 U.S. Presidential election, the story centers on a black Republican in a battle-of-the-sexes romance with an Indian Obama volunteer campaign coordinator. William Dear (Harry and the Hendersons, Disney’s Angels in the Outfield) directed the film from a screenplay by Gary Goldstein based on an original idea from Nuclear Mango principals Menon and Keenan, who produced the film with Vikram Singh Lamba and Split Image Pictures.
