Brann won the Norwegian Cup by beating Rosenborg 1–0 on 22 October. The goal scorer for Brann was Jan Erik Osland who scored in the 13th minute.
17 700 spectators watched the game at Ullevål stadion in Oslo. The referee was Kjell Wahlen.
