North Central Railway College (NCRC), Tundla, also referred to as NR College, Tundla, (formerly known as Northern Railway Inter College (NRIC), Tundla) is one of the best Senior Secondary School of Firozabad district. The Junior College was established in 1882.

About

North Central Railway College (NCRC) is Senior Secondary School. It has a very wide campus of almost 65 acres. It currently imparts education from Ist to XIIth.

Campus

The North Central Railway College is in the eastern part of the town. The railway station is approximately 1.5 km from the school. The Main Gate of the campus is just opp. to railway hospital.

History

The School was initially established as a NCC centre and ammunition house in 1878 by Britishers. Later around 1882, it had been converted into Primary School for British Officer's children.

This school has been named Northern Railway Inter College as it is funded by the Indian railway and Tundla was in the northern railways. Later after the zonal creation, it has been again named North Central Railway College as it comes in the North Central Zone of Railway.

Academics

Admissions is done through the Entrance Test. Admission to the XIth requires scores in both High School and an Entrance Test conducted by the school.

The institute offers programmes in Arts, Commerce, Home Science and Science.

Infrastructure

The Institute has a campus of about 65 acres near Railway Hospital, Tundla. The distance of the campus km. from Tundla railway station is 1.5 . The campus has retained and increased its green cover, rich in flora and fauna. All departments and laboratories are housed on the campus.

The campus has an Auditorium, Computer Centre and Sporting Facilities.

Faculty

The faculty at NCRC Tundla is often considered as one among the best of the town in their field.

Student life

Extracurricular activities include participation in NCC, Scouting.

All kind of sports facilities are also available in the campus. The college also has a 40 acres of playground adjacent to it.

All Students of Science Batch 2006 & 2004 are doing job in various types of companies.This Batch is Really Cool for NRIC College.Kailash sharma is the best basketball player of this batch.
