Nur al-Din (Arabic: نور الدين) is a male Muslim given name, and in modern use, surname, composed of the elements Nur, meaning light and ad-Din, meaning of the faith.[1][2] The first element may be spelled Nur, Noor, Nor or (in French-speaking areas) Nour. The middle element may appear as al, ad, ud, ed or d. The last element usually appears as Din, Deen or Dine. Spacing and hyphenation are variable. The name may refer to:
