(8)"No Alibis" from Eric Clapton's album Journeyman is one of the strongest rock songs the record produced. The song went to number 4 on the US mainstream rock charts. The song, written by Jerry Williams, is an excellent combination of Eric Clapton's rough, seasoned vocals and Daryl Hall's light vocals. It was a part of the Journeyman world tour, which included other songs from the album ("Pretending" and "Bad Love") as well as other Clapton favorites like "Layla" and "Crossroads".
In his album Journeyman, which is considered by many[who?] to be one of his best studio albums, we don't see Clapton play the guitar as heavily as he normally does. Most of his songs are accompanied by Phil Collins on the drums, and even George Harrison on guitar.
