Nitto Legends (V2)

In January 2007, Cie Studios[1] released a brand new game, Nitto 1320 Legends. The most major improvement from Challenge to Legends was live racing.Rather than the send and receive model deployed in Challenge, Legends allows racers to race directly against each other in real time. The physics engine for Legends was also a dramatic improvement. In Challenge, racers simply purchased all of the parts and had the most powerful car, leaving the race to reaction time, shifting, and gear ratios. In Legends, racers must find the ideal parts combination from millions of permutations, as well as do well in the elements from Challenge.

Gameplay

The aim of the game is to be the best drag racer online by building up your Street Cred (SC), car collection and game money. There are no set goals to achieve like most other games.

Starting with a basic stock Scion tC, Nissan Sentra SE-R, Ford Mustang GT, or Acura Integra GSR, game players can win money via the 24/7 Tournaments racing against computer opponents of varying difficulty. With the money won, players can choose to invest in new performance parts to make their car faster or more consistent, move up the property ladder to release new content to buy or put money towards more cars for their garage.

The cars represent those commonly found at a street meet, drag race or other racing discipline. Many Japanese and American marques are represented, including European as well now.

Online Tournaments

Every once in a while,[vague] there are tournaments to win special prizes, such as badges, trophies and special one-off cars amongst other things. These tournaments are often corporate sponsored by automotive related companies.

Nitto Staff

Administrators

Administrators are the custodians of the game, adding new features to the game on a constant basis and also general upkeep of the Nitto site and forum. They also organise the official online tournaments.

Senior Moderators

Senior moderators not only keep order within the game and forum, but are also a superior rank to voted-in moderators and are responsible for their training.

Moderators

Moderators are responsible for keeping forum and game chat windows in order and can also ban or mute people who disobey rules within the game. Moderators are voted in every 3 months with a Top 10 position.

Guides

Guides are present in the game to help out new users to the many features of the game. They can mute for rule breaking within the game, but cannot ban like moderators can.

Journalists

Journalist tasks include writing about the game and new features for the site and forum. They also do the occasional interview of racers (i.e. tournament winners).
