AR Games is a 3D augmented reality video game developed by Nintendo, and is preloaded on all Nintendo 3DS systems.

Overview

AR Games is a preloaded app that consist of numerous augmented reality games. The Nintendo 3DS is bundled with six AR cards.[1] Five of the six cards have a picture of a character on them, consisting of Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikmin, and Samus. The sixth one is a question mark box from the Super Mario Bros. series.

Some AR cards are compatible with other Nintendo 3DS games like Nintendogs + Cats and Pokédex 3D.[2][3]

Because Nintendo 3DS systems allows to display Augmented Reality content via the AR card, at a size relative to that of the image on the card, Club Nintendo released a Giant AR Card that allows the users to view their Mii in life size. [4] The Giant AR Card can be purchased for 200 Club Nintendo points. [5]
