Ninnghizhidda is a German black metal band from Recklinghausen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The band was founded in 1997, and the name was derived from Sumerian mythology. Ninnghizhidda started with the recording of The horned serpent, a 6 track demo which was the basis for the first album Blasphemy. In May 2002 the second studio album, entitled Demigod was released. Due to personal reasons, including line-up changes, the band had its final concert in January 2003 and split-up in summer 2003.
